This print is made from an 8×10 glass plate negative (one of Jason Lane’s “Speed” dry plates) developed in John Wimberley’s WD2H+ developer. I love the way each plate has its own signature.
The print itself was made on Rives BFK using a 95% platinum sensitiser which brings these strong charcoal blacks. It was developed in hot potassium oxalate with a touch of potassium dichromate for contrast. Cleared in citric acid then de-acidified in tetrasodium EDTA.
